maybe something like that! ;)

There is a Shade 3d version 16 free trial. I have not downloaded, nor tried it. Program price varies.

Surfer download install failed, would not load jvm.dll. Some JAVA problem (?), available elsewhere... I give up:-)

Hi Alex,
Math Modeler is part of the Euclid Series for Shade 3D and is Mac only.
You can find it here:
http://www.ne.jp/asahi/t/katoh/ under the Scripts section.
Mr. Katoh speaks English very well, in case you have further questions.

Stefan

Hi Brian, I really appreciate your continous stream of scripts to generate little how do I call them ... mathematical extravaganzas.
<<....I wish Mr. Toshiaki Katoh, author of Shade's Math Modeler would be a MoI user too and would program Math Modeler for MoI! You would surely have lot's of fun Brian, i strongly assume. :-)>>
Hey thats an amazing idea - one tool to extensively explore any kind of shapes generated by mathematical formulas within MOI How could he be seduced to to so ?!?!

I don't know, but maybe you can try also MathMod, the successor of K3DSurf...:
https://sourceforge.net/projects/mathmod/
The nice thing however about Math Modeler is that it generates (mostly) Curved Surfaces
objects based on Bezier Splines, which can be exported from Shade as .iges file and then
imported into MoI and there further processed.
Not to be off-topic, but here's a little doodle i did yesterday, just exported the splines from
Math Modeler from Shade and then imported them into MoI and made a solid out of them.
After that processed in ZBrush and texture painted in 3DCoat.

Stefan

Good tip, I´ll have a look, the export as curves is a good feature>>Not to be off-topic, but here's a little doodle i did yesterday, just exported the splines from

Cool crossover experiment. Did it take long for you to get familiar with Zbrush. Cinema4D
has sculpting tools but they are not as near as powerful as Zbrush ..

Well, i started to learn ZBrushCore when it came out last year and a couple of weeks ago i upgraded to ZBrush. So learning ZBrush is therefore easier for me. I read also many times in the past that some people find ZBrush's UI alien. I personally like the UI very much but must admit that i'm still a beginner and have to learn more about all the amazing tools ZBrush provides.

Starting with Zbrush light is a good point.
Love your Voronoi-Egg btw. nice work
From: amur (STEFAN)
Thanks, much appreciated!
Shade and Geex was used for creating the Voronoi (cutting) structure and then a lot of modeling in MoI to create the egg.

Dear MOisters, I want to ask you if there exists a list / compilation of all the math based scripts (from logarithmic spirals to the latest Tractrix) ever developed for MOI?
From: bemfarmer
Burr posted a list of "all" scripts...
From: BurrMan
I keep all of bemfarmers scripts seperated. I call them "parametric scripts"....
I think he's made 2 since i posted the "all commands and scripts ever made" zips..... (i ended up not being pulled, and kept up)
I didnt capture ui customizations.....
If bemfarmer wants, i can put a zip of all his commands separated out..... but for the most part, everything is in the other zips...
From: Frenchy Pilou (PILOU)
Where is this Burr "All Scripts Parametric" ?
From: BurrMan
Hey frenchy,
Well, they're all in the zips in that other thread. I was suggesting i could group them as a seperate zip.

Sure but where is this "other thread" ! :)

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah! Damned! :) :) :)

MathMod is not an easy free prog but it has hundred of 3D models yet made!
So perfect for Alpaca!
or Vizcom
