Hello,
is that someone has already used the .ai MOI export and try to import it into Inkscape ? This does not work for me . I have to use the .PDF which work well.
I use the latest version of Inkscape . Which version of .Ai format is used by MOI for export ?
Is there a post concerning 2D vector exports possibilities ?
Thanks,
Pierre

Hi Pierre - MoI exports AI files using the AI v8 format. The AI file format changed a lot around AI v10 or so, I think Inkscape only supports reading the newer kind which are actually PDF files.
For going into Inkscape, I would recommend using PDF format, since Inkscape does not support reading in the type of AI file that MoI exports.

Hello Christian,
Thank you for your reply.
Inkscape 0.91 (last version) cannot import MOI 3.0 .Ai export. : Back to the past (or use .PDF)!

Pierre

If it can be of any help, when exporting from MoI Mac version, I first open the file in Illustrator for Windows and save it (Converted). Then I'm able to open it with Inkscape .91 Windows version.
