Spooky, Moritz....
We think it and you model it. :-o
I've taken one or two of those apart as a kid.... then again, taking radios apart was a strange youthful avocation.

This heavy-duty-audio-player is a gift from my father ...

Basf producted first magnetic audio tape in 1935(from Wiki)
i see the belt similar to my Philips:same years...
strong vignetting+AO give an "aged" look to your image
also toot-a-loop is cool
Bravo Herr Moritz !

Hi
I saw this :http://www.modelplusmodel.com/accessories/radio-en/0119-radio-3dmodel.html
Did you do that one too?
Congrats , great model.
From: Mauro (M-DYNAMICS)
Bom dia Paulo:
No,i didn't model that one,but no wonder:it's a famous piece of design so you could find more on the net
it's an easy model, challenge was to get right dimensions"by eye"
Obrigado !
Mauro

m-dynamics -
So you rendered the jukebox and placed it in the brochure? Excellent! Fooled me, I thought it was a photo reference you used to make the model.
What render program did you use?

here you can see:
left:original
right:mine
original shows a distorted shape(slighty tapered to the top),i think it was drawn by hand but real one is squared
i found a complete brochure in PDF format with dimensions in inches(of course)
this helped me to draw a box in 1:1 scale and inside i model my jukebox by eye
i did top part( A-B-C- selection buttons panel) little bit bigger than original.
here original references
Rock-Ola Tempo 2 comes in two models:120 and 200 (songs)
i did the first one because there are less textures to do
i made 60 disc-labels and ABC1-20-21-40 rulers..so:lot of texturing work but it was funny because i choosed my ideal playlist,i mean..songs that i consider THE FUNDAMENTALS of Rock and Pop music
I watched that movie at least 5-6 times in late 70s and soundtrack(amazing) should be listened to everyone wants to improve his Rock-culture..in this case from the beginning:R&R
Reproducting real lighting i applied a SSS material(translucent isotropic scattering) to the row of number- buttons, and behind i did a neon light
this required a huge amount of render-time to clean from noise that area(i used Fryrender,an unbiased engine)
after approx.24 total hours (unbiased engines you can stop, save and resume later the framebuffer rendering)i decided to stop computation but it needs more clean-up

These models i did are useful in renderings to enrich interior scenes with cool stuff like Brionvega radio or a Rock-Ola Juxebox
