Some test with the Gaea above
Very nodal :)

But result is here not a volume but a simple surface! Very heavy : the OBJ = 50 megas!
I must something for have a "Volume solid"
Not so evident to have the OBJ : it's with the Button Build who put the result Mesher.OBJ in the folder Builds!

With a Moi volume! :)

You have just to drag and drop your Moi volumes OBJ inside the Mixamo screen!

And in colors!

Make a zip of the 3 Files : OBJ, MTL, PNG then Press Button Upload character!

No gap between volumes, neutral T position, better to be on origine, different colors...

(I must find something for Moi because seems colors of volumes are not take in compt! ???

Here with Magicavoxel Volumes! ;)

Seems for Moi volumes you must add artificially a PNG file who is not generated with the OBJ export! ???

Don't take care of the green background : it's the reccord who must be regulated! :)

What PNG file would you expect to be generated from MoI's OBJ export?

MoI does not export texture mapped materials to the OBJ file so there isn't anywhere that a bitmap file like a PNG file would fit.

Colors Style of works used during the modelisation inside MOi...
like following (not exactly the same because i have not more the modified object (at ends' arm/ hands)

But i must continue to investigate!
MagicaVoxel create 3 files OBJ, Mtl and PNG file : this last one is one horizontal line of the 256 or less colors used !

It's this png file that i have artificially add inside the 2 files created by MOi and magically object will have colors!
Mixamo ask a zip file of these 3 files!

Here result with the artificially Moi 3 Files zipped :)

There isn't anything in the OBJ format spec that says that there should be such a bitmap file created along with the .obj file. It's probably something unique to MagicaVoxel.

Seems i have dreamed...seems the 2 files OBJ MTL are sufficient...from MOI!

Here with 2 colors that's works with only OBJ + MTL!

Hi Pilou,

this technique is not so new (Image Inpainting)

I can do this also with Photoshop CC 2019 on 3D models
with textures applied, to get rid, for example, of seams. ;-)

A funny workflow :)

Use the Free Bricsys Shape https://www.bricsys.com/en-us/shape/ (a tricky ergonomy - not sure i all understand but...

you can take also Moi of course! ;)

Make a little drawing (10 seconds) with the Quick Draw function (first icon :)

Take a Snap Shot image - make a PNG image with transparent background (some white surfaces) with any 2D Prog

And Drag & Drop the result on my little prog some posts above! https://moi3d.com/forum/index.php?webtag=MOI&msg=4446.663

Right Click Save image and voilà! :)
Of course that is infinite because you can draw anything you want! : Only your imagination can limit the process! :)
