Yes of course ;)
But if the direct import of OBJ is perfect, I am not sure that the Subdivide can make something without some simplify or tricky manipulation
because it's real "Voxels" ! So some cubes or more some facetts! ;)
I must find some workaround first! :)
As it's facets Boolean Union will be the solution - but not sure that wotks for a such number of facetts in a reasonable time!

I love these kinds of experiments. Paint3D has an option to weld vertices before exporting to Obj, so you've got one manifold mesh with the outer voxel sides as quad polygons. Very suitable for subdivision, to get nice filleted edges.
