Check this Pilou : https://www.escapemotions.com/products/amberlight/index.php

I use it for a long time and although not fast enough for my liking, it's a great product.

Ciao!

Free Tree generator (only Windows) with settings!  :)
(There are some trees yet done! Export OBJ, dbo, x:)

No need to press the "Generate" button unless you put branches and leaves!

http://www.evolved-software.com/treeit/treeit

And you can of course load any PNG images with transparent background as "leaves"!
(even if not indicated in the drop-down menu files)

If you want to put native dds formats (Direct Draw Surface) you will have to use PaintNet to create some!
https://www.getpaint.net
Here my try! :)

About free BricsCAD Shape

- The Push Pull is Multiple
- there is no rendering engine yet
(but the free SimLab Composer Light (maximum 1920 *1080) takes DWG files directly! :)

- It requires a small training because the Space Bar is used for intermediate validations in the functions!
- Ergonomically you can feel the Autocad progeny
- The shortcuts are "Text" : for example : REC and Space for a Rectangle!
- You can only use the icons!
- Fillets are much more powerful than in SketchUp!
- Shell, Knife in direct
- Circles are circles or pretend to be circles!
- Boolean operations are multiple and varied (we don't have them in SU Make)
- it can import SKP! So MOI3D !
-Export DWG (many version), DXF.
- It is Jean Nouvel who serves as the default target! ;)

Can have any form of perimeter!

About Shape above

You can use the Videos of Bim BricsCad modeling ( it's the same functions icons than Shape!
Normal it has the same BricsCad engine! ;)
Not really new things but for AutoCad world "Direct Modeling" yes! :)

A little rigid ergonomy in use! ;)

About Shape!
It's violent as a program, scabious fillets, multiple extrusions and boolean operations etc... but requires a certain "dexterity" for all that is on screen selection and choice of functions! :)

Objects from an XY frame were exploded once to separate and make them independent. Otherwise no multiple intersections!
The face of the pyramid is taken as a "cutting or not"object.
Clicking CTRL several times shows the different Cutting options.
We stop here on the cutting without keeping the extruded sharp object!

If one side of the pyramid is selected, you must hold down the CTRL key to select the complete pyramid and Skip/Drag to the different function icons!

After several attempts, it appears that FormZ Free is the closest to SketchUp Make in terms of organisation!

An interface a little less "fluid" but we manage much better than Shape's interface, which is a little bit of a puzzle! :-P

And there are some nice little ones, staircases, automatic roofs etc... as well as a practical volume "unfurler"!
A hint of Nurbs...

A "all-in-one" performance for not a dime! ;)

Allows import SKP, dwg, etc... and export STL and DAE (so re-loadable directly in SketchUp).

If you have better do not hesitate!

As a bonus, it's also operates as a Solid Modeler-- so that means it has great filleting and 3D prints.

I agree, it is a good program. I have it but haven't used it in years. Need to rethink that now that SU is off to the cloud soon.

<< so that means it has great filleting

Not in the "Free" version ! ;)
So some boolean operations (permited) for make it!

Hi Guys and specially Pilou,

What about Pcon-Planner ! A great free software close to Sketchup for architecture and design and even has an internal rendering engine.

Sure but its ergonomy for modeling is not directly friendly!
else
One button render very cool
Its function to import directly objects from producers very cool!
dwg / skp in every way very cool!
