Yes Qubicle is the best tool for Minecraft (wanted by the author for that because users of it is huge! More 4 Millions!!! ) ;)
With it you can modify as you want any thing! ;)
But it's also a very cool one for Pixel Art ;)

♥ ♥ ♥ Voxels! ♥ ♥ ♥
I was a game pixel artist in the 1990s, for the Commodore Amiga and other systems (
http://hol.abime.net/hol_search.php?N_ref_artist=992), and created some nostalgic voxel stuff:

Cubicle is a nice voxel editor, but I prefer the 3D paint program feel of Paint 3D —
http://www.paint3d.net — and want to have a go at the free open source Magicavoxel editor —

You right MagicaVoxel is terrific !
:)
Here input in Sketchup free
in no time so crazzy architectures! :)
From: Frenchy Pilou (PILOU)
Waiting the new opus of Max Smirnov for input it inside Moi! :)
less 20 seconds!
From: Frenchy Pilou (PILOU)
We have yet the _importOBJ by Max Smirnov
waiting the Subdive ;)
From: Frenchy Pilou (PILOU)
;)
In magicaVoxel (free) less 20 seconds
In Verve (free) 3 seconds
In Sketchup (free) 3 seconds
And then LightUp (1 second calculate) then true real time in any positions, and movements without "flickering"!
From: Metin Seven (SEVENSHEAVEN)
Cool, Pilou! Did you already put Max's subdiv script to the test with such a structure?
From: Frenchy Pilou (PILOU)
Yes of course ;)
But if the direct import of OBJ is perfect, I am not sure that the Subdivide can make something without some simplify or tricky manipulation
because it's real "Voxels" ! So some cubes or more some facetts! ;)
I must find some workaround first! :)
As it's facets Boolean Union will be the solution - but not sure that wotks for a such number of facetts in a reasonable time!
From: Frenchy Pilou (PILOU)
A Possible workaround :)
MagicaVoxel
Import inside Sketchup as OBJ or 3DS
Cleanup By Thomthom
Export as OBJ By TIG
_importObj By Max Smirnov inside MOi
Explode - Boolean Union
From: Metin Seven (SEVENSHEAVEN)
㋡
I love these kinds of experiments. Paint3D has an option to weld vertices before exporting to Obj, so you've got one manifold mesh with the outer voxel sides as quad polygons. Very suitable for subdivision, to get nice filleted edges.
