Hmmm, well you certainly picked an interesting project for someone with arachnophobia! :)

Your updated arrangement of legs (8 now instead of 10?) looks better I think.

really cool, i like the idea and the results, looks like a science toy campaign in robotics

:) @ the shoes :)
michael well the 2 legs at the front were 2 mouth parts that look like the other legs some males have really leg like mouth parts but yes i decided to remove them and now it has no mouth parts, so this version is not spider accurate, but looks better. yes it almost looks toy like. i am doing another render of it in a moment so stay tuned :)

I like this a lot, nice work!

I like the photo-real look of the render - like you took a polaroid, and snapped it on the floor - nice! ;-)

It looks great Dave, and it's great to have it in the gallery!

Is that a hypershot render?

I'm going to guess and say it's rendered in Fry?

So what did i win? :) I actually prefer the first image of spider on the sand, the one before you added decals. Because i gravitate more towards pink tones in my lighting. It also seems to fit the feeling of the moment, with the spider hanging on the beach to watch the sunset, sipping on a glass of recycled insect components... mmm... yummy...
