So, you can actually create surfaces from scratch?

Yes, absolutely! With the two buttons added to the Edit panel, you can generate complete surfaces from the ground up, without needing an initial file:

Add Curve at End: If the scene is empty, this function automatically creates an initial standard 4-point curve. Clicking a second time duplicates that curve—offset along the Z-axis—and immediately generates the NURBS surface between the two.

Insert Curve: By selecting at least one point on an existing curve, this command inserts a new adjacent section via interpolation. This allows you to add as many cross-sectional or longitudinal profiles as needed to refine the surface's shape.

Once these curves are dynamically generated in the interface, you simply manipulate their control points using the Gizmo or box selection to sculpt the surface. The resulting model can then be exported directly as an IGES or JSON file.
