Full Version: import hierarchy in STEP files into MOL

Hi guys,

are we going to see this feature soon, all STEP files has hierarchy and assambly in the file import it to MOL distroy all that valuable information

any Idea ?

Hi made21, MOI will first need to support instancing before it will be properly store the STEP hierarchy.

One thing you can do now is in moi.ini set

[NURBS Import]
UseHierarchicalNames=y

That will store the hierarchy in the object name with colon : separating each level.
