Hi Pilou, I don't think I explained myself well. I just want to know how to make image "B" look like image "A".

If you press "edgeSplit" on image "A", any of the four slanted lines will display what you see in image "C".

Hi Booleano,

re:

Hi Booleano, try these steps:

Select face:

Use _sSplit to your desired size:

Click Edit > "Show pts":

Select interior points (you can hold shift+ctrl to disable object drag and force window selection):

Drag it upwards in z axis:

Or without sSplit :)
Show point and move to the desired position! :)

Hi
Could you please explain the "Wire," "Edge," and "Wire2" options to me? If you can, I'd just like to know what to put in each one.

I used "Wire" and "Edge" a long time ago, but I don't remember what they do. The "Wire2" function is new, and I don't know what it's for.

Thanks for your help.

Hi Booleano,

re:
> Why do the dots appear on object "A" but not on "B"?

It's because all the faces on object A are naturally trimmed (trim boundaries are same as underlying surface boundary) while object B has some faces that trim away areas of the underlying surface.

There is info on this in the FAQ, see FAQ #4, "Why does show points work for some objects but not others?"

This is one of the various reasons why it is better to use a subd modeling program to make this type of model, MOI is not the right tool for doing this.
