Full Version: Merge UV Maps

Hi

Still in the trial phase with AMAZING Exporter quality! We are working on a close pipeline connection between Rhino and LightWave 3D—everything works great! Almost done. I also experimented with advanced export settings and achieved even better results.
One of the latest problems are UV maps.

Is it possible to merge all UV maps into one during export?

Rhino, due to its different modeling pipeline (CAD system), produces a massive amount of UV maps.

Hi Yanus3D, usually UV mapping would be done in a poly modeling program. MOI does provide a simple automatic mapping where each surface maps to the entire 0,0 to 1,1 unit square.

Depending on what poly modeling software you are importing into there is often a function "separate islands" that will separate those out so they don't refer to the same area.

Thanks!
Meanwhile I got from our community simple script for Lightwave which merge all channels! so no problem!
