Full Version: Some hobby related MoI work

I use MoI professionally for product visualization. But in my off hours I also use it for my hobbies. One of these is making virtual models of film subjects: props, sets and special effects miniatures.

Here are three subjects from the classic '60s Star Trek series that I just uploaded to the gallery:

The U.S.S. Enterprise

The Galileo Shuttlecraft

The Klingon Battlecruiser

I had modeled the Enterprise many years ago with a polygon modeler, but using MoI this time made it much easier. It is the greatest NURBS solid modeler anywhere -- and the only solid modeler truly designed for artists! With MoI I was able to make this updated version much more accurate and detailed.

Thanks for giving us such a great tool, Michael!

Well done on these three magnificent creations, Mark!
Moi for modeling and Blender for rendering work very well together.

Thanks for the kind comments.

I always make a point of extolling the virtues of MoI any time I share my work online. More people need to know about this wonderful tool. Many thanks to Michael for creating it and being so supportive of his user base.
