Hi Finema, I updated to Tahoe 26.1 to test it and the thumbnails are working ok for me over here.

Could you post an example .3dm file that is not getting the thumbnail so I can verify that it has the thumbnail image in it?

Also the system setting UI for enabling the extensions is kind of confusing.

Under System Settings, it's under General > "Login Items & Extensions" and then to enable it you need to click the circle with an "i" in it which doesn't really look like a clickable thing. Then it will show the enable/disable switch.

So please double check that it is enabled.

Hi Michael,
Here a file (just a sphere). This file not getting the thumbnail.
In System Settings, the extension is enabled.
Reboot my mac, but no result.
Thanks.

Hi Finema, your file looks fine. It has a thumbnail stored in it and over here it is being displayed when the file is on the desktop:

Where is the .3dm file located on your system, is it on the desktop or somewhere else?

What is the full path to it?

Also if you have it on the desktop and select it and push space what does the preview window show for "open with", does it possibly have an old version listed in there? :

Man these cartoonishly large rounded corners all over in Tahoe are gross.

WriteThumbnailPreviewImage=y
ThumbnailSize=256
It's OK ?

Yes, those settings are ok. They are the default values.

Hi Finema, something else to check -

Click on your desktop and then on the Top menu click View > "Show view options"

Then make sure "show icon preview" is on.

And another thing you can try is from a Terminal prompt put in:

qlmanage -r cache

That will reset the thumbnail cache, it could help if it got damaged somehow.

Hi Finema, is the v5 beta also listed as being given permissions to access files?

I think that's under System Settings > Privacy & Security > "Files & Folders".

Hi Michael,
I checked the permissions in the system settings.
I also completely uninstalled Moi3D and reinstalled but still no preview.
Thank you.
