MOI3D version: beta Feb 2025
Computer: MacBook Air (M1, latest OSX version 15.3.2)
Problem: When I lock an object the color changes from the default or custom color to a shade of gray darker than the default color. The two objects in the attached file demonstrate this problem when using my MacBook Air (M1).
The problem does not occur when using my iMac (Intel) with the latest OSX, ie, the color is the same both unlocked and locked.
Please let me know if you need any additional information.
As always, thanks for excellent MOI3d and your great support.
Cheers
Scott

Hi Scott, there is a setting under Options > View > "Locked objects use alternate color" checkbox.
Is that set to different values on the different machines?

Problem solved.
As you suspected, the iMac vs MacBook Air settings were different. I deselected the VIEW option on the MacBook Air which now matches my iMac setting. Color now remains the same for both locked and unlocked. Seems I need to pause long enough to revisit the OPTIONS again.
Thank you for the quick (and easy) fix.

Hi Scott, you're welcome I'm glad it was solved.
If you want to make sure any other settings are the same you can do that by copying over the moi.ini file from your intel iMac over to your M1 MacBook.
To do that, in Finder click the "Go" menu on the top menu and choose "Go to folder...". In the dialog that pops up, put in:
~/Library/Application Support/Moi
That's where you should find the moi.ini file which is where the settings are stored.
Copy the moi.ini file over to the same location on the new machine.
Thanks, - Michael
