I do not much about Andrei.

However I did know Rocket3F was based upon NVIL.

I have an earlier post where I asked the creator of NVIL on the NVIL forms what the relationship was between NVIL and Rocket3F where he replied Rocket3F is a version of NVIL aimed at artists.
I guess it is sort of like Blender and BlenderForArtist.

I agree about 3D software coming and going. I used to use and love Hexagon but it too is like Studebaker Motor Car Company. Gone. As well as Groboto3D, e-onsoftware's Vue (I still use Vue and Groboto3D).

Wings3D is still around and maintained and a very capable modeler. An app I love very much but lacked some of the features Hexagon and Silo had.

Amapi is no more, Silo3D stopped development for a few years but is back. Truespace3D is gone and had one of the most terrible user interfaces of all.

Bryce3D has stopped development for a very long time.

I believe e-onsoftware's Vue was also developed by a French programmer.

Yes it is. Bentley has abandoned further development of Vue after purchasing it a few years prior from e-onsoftware.

I was on their yearly subscription and had pre-paid for an year or two in advance. And NO refund was offered.

Vladimir Chopine (Geekatplay) offers some of the best Vue tutorials on youtube.

Vue is my preferred renderer for my MOI, Blender and 3D Coat models I've created.

I find much easier to use then Bryce.

Vue has always included a render engine and depending on which settings you use, it is no longer slow. I find the recent Vue to render within reasonable amount of time.
