I have some curve segments joined up as a closed curve. The fillet tool finds the sharp corners of the curve, but it fails to calculate the fillet. The curves which meet at sharp cusps all lie on the surface of a solid (though things seem to have become slightly inaccurate as it's gotten more complex).
Is there a way I can simplify the curves, assuming that's what's causing the issue? Or should I find a workaround such as trimming back the segments near the desired fillet, and using the blend tool? Perhaps the fillet tool only operates on coplanar segments?
Thanks!

Hi Chase, yes curves can only be filleted if the 2 curve segments that touch at a sharp point are coplanar.

Yes that would work.
But are you trying to get something like this, here using Boolean difference with a 2D curve as the cutting object, then filleting the solids:

Ah, good to know, thanks for confirming. Thanks for the other thoughts--I do however need the wire to sweep a profile along, though.
I'm trimming off the ends and using the blend tool now and it's working fine.
Thanks again!
