trying to deform a special designed letter "A" to a curved sheet.

select letter "A" , select deform, select base curve (the curved sheet surface)
next have box to select target object (here am lost , I already selected) both objects.
click projective check box and click everywhere and nothing happens stuck here.

Need help and maybe some links on deform to surface.
