That sounds good to me ! I'll definitely keep an eye on v4 beta announcements, I'll have a few other small UX suggestions to make.

Also another note on preselection highlighting : having the option to turn it off might even have some positive consequences for development, as it would ensure that all selection actions are fluid and intuitive even without visual aids. At the moment I feel like the program asks for a lot of repeated clicks just for simple selection actions ; in that regard it reminds me a bit of Fusion360, whereas a program like Blender is really rock solid as far as user input is concerned (it is even doing some clever proximity checks allowing the user to select components without having to click precisely on them).
