Frenchy - What is amazing about the 1950's and 1960's is that US automobiles were completely redesigned with new bodies every year. And without the benefit of computers!

I remember the carnival atmosphere when car dealers along Hawthorne Boulevard (where I grew up - now home to Space X) all revealed their new models on the same day!

The car dealers would cover their display windows with banners to block the view, forcing people to come inside to see the new cars. There were no leaked photos like we see today, so it was a big surprise on release day to see Detroit's latest creations.

Yes - Those designers could not imagine what tools we have today. I guess the closest thing they had to an "Undo" button was to slap some fresh clay over the model and re-sculpt :)
