Hi Lara, filleting for curves only works on coplanar curves. For 2 curves that aren't planar I'd recommend cutting away the ends of the curves using Trim (you can use a sphere as the cutting object), then select the 2 curves and run Construct > Blend to put in a smooth connecting piece.
