Hi Michael,
I'm planning to buy a Polygonal-SDS modeler under 200$ and i'm testing :
- Silo : last upgrade 3 or more years ago...I think that Nevercenter has definitely stopped its developing.
- NVIL : Strange UI but it seems very, very powerful, and has active support and developing from the programmer (Istonia)
- Rocket3F : Very young product from NVIL creator (Istonia) and Samardac, with a simplified set of tools compared to NVIL
and with a streamlined UI and a very fast workflow, like Moi's way.
Honestly I almost decided to discard Silo, due to its developing stop.
So...I thought I'd ask your advice.
Do you know NVIL ? What do you think about it ?
My intention is to find a good (and not expensive) SDS modeler to include in my current workflow : Moi and Rhino + 3DCoat + Thea Render
P.s. I'm currently also using the free and very particular SDS modeler Wings3D.
It's very powerful and has a unique set of tools, with a sort of artificial intelligence, due to its developing based on Erlang programming language,
but unfortunately it lacks with HighPoly objects.
Have a nice day.
