Thats what I want.

"How about you select them and make them the same colour , then they will keep their old names and the colour will be the grouping"

I had assigned them different colors which I would like to keee (part of the desin process )so if I assign them a new color I will loose the already assigned colors. But it looks like this is the onlyway to go.
