Well, I'm not sure.

I did not understand before that it worked ok when you logged in as administrator but not as a limited user.

Is it possible that your limited user account has different Windows services disabled?

There are some Windows services that are normally enabled that MoI needs to run, for example if the DCOM Server Process Launcher service is not enabled, MoI won't run properly.

So if extra things have been disabled for that limited account, that might be causing the problem...


How is it that you are running as a limited user instead of an administrator, which is normally the default for Windows XP. Is this an account that you set up yourself, or is it some kind of security lock-down account set up by an IT department?
