Looking at the various profile curves that have been posted, I'm no longer sure what the end result should be. Do you have an image of the desired object?

From recent curves that were posted, I wonder if you are looking for something like this:

1. Make a cylinder with a circle and rectangle curve on top.
2. Trim the curves into two "D" shape curves. Fillet the corners of the two curves.
3. Edit > Size the two "D" curves slightly larger so they extend beyond the cylinder.
4. Extrude the "D" curves into the cylinder (with Cap Ends).
5. Boolean Merge, then delete the blue objects.
6. Draw and position a circle to use as a cutting object (red).
7. Use the circle to cut a section out.
8. Select the perimeter of the two "D" shape sections and extrude up.
9. Delete the floor and walls as shown.
10. Select the edges and Nsided = 0.1 (type in the value).
11. Draw a horizontal line to use as a cutting object (red).
12. Cut the top area off the solid using the red line.
13. Draw two curves to define the branches.
14. Select the perimeter of a "D" shape and Sweep it using the curves drawn in the prior step as the Rail. Repeat for the oppostie branch.

You can of course make the gap between the two branches smaller as needed.

The 3DM file is attached.
