Hi OSTexo, it is possible to do a G1 extension by using the Edit > Extend command. That extends a curve to a second boundary object. You first select a curve that you want to extend, clicking near the end you want to extend, then select the boundary object:





In the future I want to beef up this command some more and give it some more options but currently it's very basic.

For curve approximation there is the Rebuild command:
