Looks very promising - I hope that you can get the thickness working.

My mother carved a double Mobius strip in wood and I have a longing to do something similar via 3D printing.

I have tried to model it but not got very far and I think that doing surface only as several people have posted may be much less difficult that a solid model.

I've designed (and printed) a couple of simple solid Mobius strips but am completely stuck on a solid double strip.

I hoping to get a decent 3d scanner (Fuel3D) later this year and it'll be interesting to see if that can capture my Mother's Mobius strip adequately. I'm not confident.
