V3 is getting close, but I still don't have a precise final date set yet. I'm still right now in the process of wrapping up the final v3 beta release.

Maybe...

Generally you need to purchase an upgrade between major versions. I think I will probably be doing a "grace period" type automatic upgrade for people who purchased within some close date of the v3 final release, but I have not yet worked out the details for that so I can't really guarantee that will happen since the time period is not set and the final v3 release date is not set either yet.

If you want to make sure you'll get V3 without purchasing any other upgrades, the best way to ensure that would be to use the 30-day trial version until V3 is released and then purchase v3 directly.
