Well, there are 2 different trial versions - one that has full functionality including saving for a 30 day period, and the other one has saving disabled but no expiration.

So if they download the 30 day one they will be able to save during that 30 day period.

The trial versions are currently v2 versions, but they should work fine for viewing your file. The v2 trial can load files saved from v3 ok.

They work the same as the regular version, you can look at the 3D view and rotate around the same as the regular version.
