Importing a polygon model as a component of a MoI model

Ok, so I Love MoI. It's amazing. Though I work at a place that has Solidworks and Rhino seats, I prefer MoI as it is just a faster and more intuitive drafting tool.

However, it has one major downfall that I'm hoping there is a solution to. I occasionally export my models into ZBrush to give them a bit of surface detail such as texturing, and I then create obj files or stl files out of them as I can't reconvert to Nurbs.

But let's say I just want a zbrush-edited stl object to be one component out of a larger model with more pieces, is there a way I can import it into MoI and just have it as a floating element? I don't need editability above and beyond translation tools. Essentially, it would be a floating, uneditable piece that would merely sit among other nurbs-created models. the facility exists in solidworks, I just wondered whether it could exist in MoI without my knowledge.

all the best,

rob.
