Hi Ron, there are some lighting options you can adjust under Options > View > Lighting options.

You might try setting Lighting style = "Custom key + fill levels" and that will allow you to adjust some sliders for the intensity of the key light and the fill lights.

That will change the lighting for both the regular MoI display and the PDF export as well.
