Match surface without MatchSrf

Hello,

I'm trying to manually reassemble the Rhino MatchSrf command in MOI. So far, I got this, by placing construction lines. First point close to edge, using on surface snap, next on edge, using perpendicular snap. Then I placed the first few points along construction line, starting from edge. Finally I used the network command.
But it seems this is only close to enough. By looking at blends created by MOI, I think the direction used for blend, is something like cross- product of surface normal at edge, and edge tangent. Method I've used actually does not 'guarantee' this cross - product, especially not on some very curved surface.
So question is, is there a way to place the construction line in the same direction, as one used for first (or last) two points for blend. Possibly in one session. I'd be also interested, is there another way to get something 'matchsrf' alike.

thanks
