Hi eric, what file format are you currently using for the transfer into SimLab? If you're not using OBJ format that's probably what you should try.

When you export to OBJ format MoI will write an automatically labeled object name for each separate object but there should also be a materials list and materials assignment in addition to that, and the materials information comes from your styles list in MoI. Hopefully SimLab will be able to do materials from the materials definition in the OBJ file. The actual material definition for the particular color of each material comes from a companion file to the .obj file that has a file extension of .mtl, so if you move the .obj file to some other location from where you saved it just keep in mind that you should also move the companion .mtl file that was also generated along with the .obj file.

Do you mean that you're also doing some kind of geometry editing or movement of objects in SimLab as well?
