There isn't anything for back-facing point culling, just in general surface control point editing is not really a focus area for MoI. I mostly assume that if you're doing a lot of heavy surface control point editing that you would be doing that in a sub-d modeling program instead of in MoI. So curve drawing and construction techniques are more what things are generally focused on.

Control points that are behind shaded surfaces are drawn with transparency so they're fainter, but there isn't any way right now to control the level of transparency.
