I'm trying to make two screw holes in a flat plane. I made two cylinders and want to space them out from each other by 40mm. Then I'll subtract them from the plane and have two screw holes. However, I cannot figure out how to separate the center of each cylinder from the other by 40mm.

Can someone walk me through this?
