Yup, this is still on my list of stuff to work on.

The way I was thinking of making it work is to make it part of the regular Extrude command, and have it triggered when you have both a solid as well as a set of curves selected before doing the extrude, I think that could then work as the signal to do the automatic boolean of the results with that selected solid. Hopefully that will keep things streamlined without needing to have extra options or picking steps in the command and also not needing a totally separate command either...
