I've got a hollow cylinder open at both ends (like a piece of pipe), and I want to slice it into some segments. They need to have 2mm gaps between them, as shown in the attached file. I've tried creating solids for the gaps to boolean from the cylinder, but can't manage to do it. Not sure how else to approach the problem. Any suggestions?
