It's just not generally used very frequently like the reflected ends.

Having too many snap points automatically pop up can actually have some problems where the screen can get kind of filled up with snap points and can make it more difficult to place a point that is not at snap.

So it's not automatically true that more snap points = better in every kind of case.

You can create a second construction line overlapping the first one between one end and the mid point to get that kind of point that you want.

Also if you want you can get a complete sequence of repeated snap points on a construction line by opening up the little menu (press and hold the mouse on it for a moment) and using the "Division snap" control:
