I don't think you will find what you want. Models made with MoI are meshed in an optimal way, which is great. However, meshes of human characters that are meant for animation have to be meshed in a particular way so that they deform properly when animated. You are not going to get this from nurbs surfaces that have been meshed automatically. You're best bet is to start in a polygon modeller. Maybe look at a few tutorials on animating a human mesh. Be warned though, it is not a beginners subject. The rigging is a specialist job, then you have to weight the mesh to the rig. Messiah makes this easier but it's not a magic bullet.
