I'm not suggesting replacing the RMB. But let's say I select a curve, and hit a key command to pull up a context menu, and from there I could select options for extrude, show points, etc rather than always going to the sidebar.

The background image just tweaked me onto this because I have many images at once open and it'd be great to select it somehow and adjust transparency on the fly or resize it, etc.

I think the context sensitive menu thing is best for the features and their editing though.
