uv settings

Hi Stephen, actually MoI does currently automatically generate UVs, but the way it is set up every surface in a solid each overlaps into the same full UV square. So for example with a cube each face of the cube would have the same copy of a texture applied to it.

That may not work for what you need - if not then you probably will need to use some other program to apply UV coordinates. There are some programs out there that are dedicated for just this particular purpose, for example UVMapper (http://www.uvmapper.com/), Unwrap3D (http://www.unwrap3d.com/u3d/index.aspx) or Unfold3D (http://www.polygonal-design.fr/).

Also various polygon modeling programs have that kind of functionality as well.

Also often with renderers there are some kinds of materials like box mapping or 3D volumetric textures that don't actually need UV coordinates set up, I'm not that familiar with Thea but possibly it has some kinds of materials that would fit in this category.
