I decided to experiment with adding organic props to jewelry renders. This is a bit surreal as the scale of the items don't match. It's a look I've seen in advertising and I wanted to try it.
The curved bamboo stick is made by lofting through a series of circles arranged on a curve.
The leaves are made by drawing a "bird wings" profile, duplicating the profile several times at various widths and heights, then lofting through them to produce a surface. Then I made an outline in the shape of a leaf and used it as a cookie cutter to punch out my shape.
The rock is a flattened sphere with the fissure knocked out with a free-form cutting line.
Rendered in KeyShot.
