Problem with Helix

Hi Marco, it's the projected intersection snap that runs into that problem.

A helix projected down flat ends up being a highly self-overlapping curve, which takes much longer for the intersection calculation than it normally does in other cases.

So it can help to turn off projected intersection snap when you are dealing with something like that, to do that go to Options > Snaps > Object snap options, and uncheck "Use apparent intersections".

Once that setting is off, that freezing should stop.

In the future I'm going to try to detect when a projected curve would overlap around on top of itself a lot like this and try to skip just those curves from the projected intersection calculation.

Please let me know if you still have any problems after turning off that option.
