It's kind of good if the text is not too big, longer text will make the button larger which can have some bad side effects like making things not fit on lower resolution screens, making something stick out more than its neighbors, etc... But it will still function though.
To make things take up two lines, you can insert an explicit <br>, for example: Vue de<br>Dessus . That will force a line break at that spot. But this will probably look weird unless all the neighboring buttons do it too.

I don't quite understand the question... Eventually I want to have several language choices that are packaged with the regular install so that you can choose whichever one you want to use.
