I haven't checked it out yet, but I saw what you meant when I read the wiki page http://sourceforge.net/apps/mediawiki/free-cad/index.php?title=Feature_list . It does a lot of things that you wouldn't expect in 2d and 3d. That obj export in a cad program is strange- but good. You mean something like the request for text on a cylinder edge could have been done in Freecad, exported in 2D and extruded in Moi? Of course, I'm reading a lot into the timing of your post, but this looks very interesting. Thanks very much for bringing this up.
