WiP - Concept Car design

Hi guys,

The panel lines discussion got me thinking that Sweep can be frustrating, for some reason I find hard to figure.

When building semi-organic shapes like ship hulls, airplane fuselages, car bodies or spaceships, it might be better to refrain from using Sweep and use instead Loft, Blend and Network. In essence, it boils down to trusting MoI’s capable engine to generate perfect shapes, inasmuch as the original shape can be produced that way (Blueprints etc.)

Here is a little example of a concept car I built Lofting three simple curves to form a side, mirroring then Blending the long edges and joining the resulting 3 and 4 side edges with Network. In this quick project, I had no blueprint to worry about, but this technique works well with real shapes to recreate. I have a Short Stirling bomber of WW2 that I am reworking on because I was unhappy with the shape produced by the traditional sections sweep.
