Some thoughts on a NURBS to Poly workflow with MoI

You are right, I didn't do any of the brain amplifier stuff in sub-d. All straight MoI export (well nearly all)

What I have found is that manipulating objects is much better in MoI than any other app I have. By that I mean aligning, rotating, etc. You have made every other app look clumsy by comparison :-)

Because of this I like to work out my ideas using MoI. So If I was aiming for sub-d then being able to get closer to a sub-d version straight out of MoI would have been really nice. I guess that sometimes I'm not using MoI in the typical manner ;-)

However, 8 months is a lot of time out of the main development just for another mesher. I can see that this is not really viable.

No worries, MoI is really great as it is and I am looking forward to the next version.

Yes, re-topo is probably the best way for me to go if I want this kind of workflow. Need to learn more about that.
