Moi(Rhino)

Hi andras, there is a lot of similarity in the overall modeling strategy between MoI and Rhino.

Like for example how you build models by drawing curves, extruding or sweeping, doing booleans, trimming, etc.... So it should not be too difficult for you to learn how to use Rhino after being used to MoI, the overall modeling approach should be familiar to you.

There are differences as well of course, one of the big ones is that Rhino is set up to have a UI similar to AutoCAD with a command-line interface. If you are not familiar with AutoCAD that might take a while to get used to that but it is certainly something that you can learn.

If you expect to be using it in the future, it's probably a good idea to spend some time with the Rhino trial version now so that you will be familiar with it when you need to use it.

I would think so, yes. But you probably would want to spend at least some time getting familiar with Rhino before then. Your experience in MoI will apply in many ways but individual details may be different.

Since MoI can exchange geometry very well back and forth to Rhino, it should be pretty easy for you to continue to use MoI along with Rhino in an actual Rhino position.
