Offset this

Hi Tree, yeah part of shell involves doing an offset so if offset is having a problem so will shell.

Could you please post the 3DM model file instead of just a screenshot? It is much easier to see what is happening by examining a model.

That kind of "leaking" of the display mesh usually means there is some problem in the trim curves in the generated object. It's possible that the offset is having difficulty making the proper trim curves in that area, or if the original trim curves are not well formed like if they have self-intersections in them that can lead to that kind of a thing also.

It's hard to tell though without being able to examine the object closely.

You might try breaking it into individual surfaces with Edit/Separate and then see how each piece offsets.
