Hi crydee, does the problem go away if you reboot your machine?

A few people have run across what seems to be a video-driver specific problem where the driver seems to lose track of its available memory or something like that after it has been running for a while, resulting in things slowing down probably as things are shuffled back and forth more often between main memory and video card memory.

If after a reboot your system is back to normal, then that is probably what you ran into.

You may want to update to the latest video drivers available for your video card by going to the manufacturer's web site, that may help to avoid the problem if it keeps on recurring.

Please let me know if the problem does not go away after a system shutdown and restart.
